So the Betrayers of Kamigawa pre-release tournament was this weekend, that was terribly fun. I spent all day Saturday at the Clarion in at 45N and Beltway 8 play Magic. I think we all actually had a really good time. I paid attention to the mana curve for the first time when I was building my deck and it really paid off. I went 4-0 in the first flight I was in, but I only walked away with 9 packs (instead of 14) because of various deals I cut with people. The cool thing is that the other 3-0 guy I played against was a really cool dude. We (Chris, Jamie, Brian and I) went to the hotel bar and had some beers with him and his friends before I started the next flight. Turns out they are from Nederland, so the next time I head back to Beaumont I can go to Book Stan' out there and know some people.
